Created by the renowned novelist and playwright Antonine Maillet, Le Pays de la Sagouine is an island where theatre and music meet! There is fun for the whole family. Kids will love the children’s program, offered throughout the summer. While enjoying professional live entertainment on the island, visitors can also chat with various joyful characters! Enter a world of adventure!

Pays de la Sagouine in Bouctouche is a daily celebration and adventure of the rich Acadian history and heritage through drama, music, games, art, food and so very much more.

New to the "L’Île-aux-Puces" are Theme Days

Visitors will discover a new adventure everyday on this island that is really so small but big in imagination. The themes to discover are: From the sea to the kitchen, the wedding, arts, the dead and the ghosts, Valentine’s Day, the fire, Christmas and the lottery.

The Acadian Brunch served every Sunday - from 10 am to 2, pm for $14.95 (plus tax).
The Acadian Buffet served from Thursdays through to Saturday between July 16th and August 22nd - from 11 am to 2 pm, for $12.49 (plus tax).

Dinner Theatre: Citrouille veut faire un homme de lui, directed by Luc LeBlanc, will be the new dinner theatre to discover this summer. Y a une étoile will be presented for a second year as well as the return of the classic dinner theatre of La Sagouine.  We will also feature a new Christmas dinner theatre, Le Sapin ou le Messie?


Daily: House Bands playing Acadan music, Les Chicaneuses telling new stories, artists and craftspeople explaining their techniques, daily theatres and so much more.

Daily: La Panaterie is open every day from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm - located on l’Île-aux-Puces, discover Acadian and regional food.

Daily: The gift shop - La Bonne Besogne is open every day from 9:30 am to 6 pm and every night before the shows.

Daily: Join the tour guide for a daily English presentation to learn about the Acadian culture through its history, past and present! Accompanied by a fiddler, they will even show you how to play the spoons! For the sweet tooth, you’ll get to taste one of the famous Acadian desserts!

Fridays: Keith's Frolics and Acadian Music Friday Nights on The Patio

Tuesdays and Thursdays: Acadian Legend Nights provided by storyteller Sylvio A. Allain (haunted houses, restless spirits, the Devil, and much more).
